I think all I will get is a nifty little "gift" my little girl will make for me, and that is enough. Christmas to me is the gifts I make for my kids and now grandkids.....their smiles are gift enough for anyone.

You know you're quite right about the little gifts at festive season , to me christmas should be all about family ,instead all we get is bombarded with a daily diet of commercials for all sorts of 'gift' ideas all designed to make you part with as much cash as you can, they make me sick

I would love to take my family and all our relatives up to a log cabin in the scottish highlands where only one gift each would be allowed and we could all have a massive christmas dinner with no television allowed and rely on our own entertainment to see us through the festival.

The best thing for me is seeing my girls open their gifts.My oldest is getting a bike and a drum set this year..Should be pretty fun....
I would'nt mind some time to be able to ride my dirt bike though.....

The only thing I asked for is a new pair of moccasin slippers, the fuzzy ones from LL Bean. The twins are getting me those.

My oldest goes to Oxfam every year and buys me a sheep. Well, I don't get the sheep, a needy family in the third world gets the sheep. That, to me, is a wonderful gift. I don't need more stuff. Except a new pair of slippers.
