What Do You Think Of This?

At the end of the day, this is how this guy loads his bike to go home...

Re: What Do You Think Of This?

I'm pretty sure that it didn't end well. Not much of a skid pad inside of a van. Maybe he rearranged the airbags!

Re: What Do You Think Of This?

I noticed that too!

If you think that is something, take a look at this one, this one doesn't even seem real, looks like some sort of holly wood special effects magic.

Amazing. I am interested to know just how far stunters will go before they reach the peak.

Re: What Do You Think Of This?

First one is definately fake, used in a commercial for something or other, but if you look at the lines the bike's back wheel and riders head are taking compared to the lines of the van it's obvious he'd a cased the back end of the van....still funny though.

The second video of Travis Pastroma is 100% legit. He is the king of moto cross freestyle and there are a few video's on goggle of him practicing this double at his ranch/compound and wrecking quit a few times before "getting it" and trying it in competition. This guy is a huge innovator for the freestyle sport and makes the sickest looking tricks look like no sweat-even if your not into motor cross watching this guy do his runs is just awe inspiring, non stop fluid action....and this kid actually broke his back (seperated his vertabrea) and is one of only a handfull of people in the world to ever get back to normal...after they said he'd be paralysed forever. I think he was 14 or 16 and practicing over a 120' jump and cased it hard seperating his spinal cord. look at him now. Scarey reality of the double backflip it showed him talking with his mom prior this jump and told her he loved her no matter what happened...these dude's are friggin nutz!!

Re: What Do You Think Of This?

I was watching bar TV (no sound) during lunch last week and some dirt bike fools were trying to go orbital. They were measuring their 'hangtime'.

Do they still have 'real' motocross races?

Yes, they still have real motocross, but the x games have rally gained popularity for obvious reasons....hr long stunt show basically. I like racing, but I'll watch these guys doing crazy stuff on their bikes any day over going in circles (figure of speech)

I love watching freestyle and I'm also a fan (even though it's not on as much) of the extreme vert challenge where the guys literally race up a near vertical hill trying to go over top of a bar (much like pole vaulting) to see who gets the higest without knocking the bar off. Last one I watched the guy's were clearing 26' and the top nut cleared 30' for the win nucking futz!!!!!

Re: What Do You Think Of This?

Anybody ever watch the widow maker hill climb when they were younger? I don't know if they still do it, but I remember watching in fascination as those guys would try to make it up that crazy hill on those modified motorcycles. As I recall it seems some of them had some sort of rear tires with paddles on them?

Yup, you can come with this weekend to Broome/Tioga Sports Center to see the BIG (figuratively speaking) boys go at it in round 10 of 12 in the outdoor series of AMA Motocross.
We were at Southwick Mass this June for round 3 and it was awesome!

I do like Supercross (stadium style), but outdoors is where it's at!

Or you can come see us race at any of the hundreds and hundreds of local tracks across the country. I raced as a teenager and am getting back into it at 40. There are +30, +35, +40 & +50 classes. NO ONE is too old.

Oh yeah, Travis Pastrana is the MAN when it comes to FMX!!
He's not too shabby at MX either. Only if he bumps his head one more time he might die! Another Steve Young (?) prodigy.
Travis has had several concussions.
