Walking On Water
I thought this was oddly symbolic for the day.

Re: Walking On Water
And to follow up with a joke
Priest, Preacher and Rabbi out in boat on lake fishing. Priest says he forgot something and walked on water to car and back. Preacher said same little later and walked on water to shore and back. Rabbi, not to be outdone, said it was his turn and stepped off boat and sunk. Priest asked Preacher, "You think we should tell him where the rocks are?"

Re: Walking On Water
Jesus and Moses were strolling by the Red Sea, when Moses nudged Jesus and said, "Psst. Hey, Jesus, I've still got it."
Moses turned towards the Red Sea and lifted his staff on high. The angels began to sing, the gentle sea breeze turned into a raging gale, and the waters of the Red Sea were parted. Moses lowered his arms and, with a smug grin on his face, turned back to face Jesus. Jesus scoffed. "Moses, my boy," said the Messiah, "I have still got it." And with a flourish of his robes, Jesus stepped onto the waters of the Red Sea and began to stride across without so much as a ripple. But to Moses' amazement, halfway across the water, Jesus suddenly began to sink. He splashed into the water and began to choke and flounder as the waves tossed him around. Moses grumbled at Jesus' sillyness and parted the water once more. Moses helped Jesus back to shore, as the Saviour hacked up salt water. When they had finally reached shore, Moses slapped a consoling hand on Jesus' shoulder and said, "Don't worry about it, Lord. Last time you tried it, you didn't have holes in your feet." |

Re: Walking On Water
Jesus, John the Baptist and St. Peter were playing the 17th hole at the Sawgrass golf course in Florida, which is an island surrounded by water. They asked the caddy what club to use and he said "You should use a 5 iron to reach it, but the good pros are hitting 6 irons.
John and Peter used 5 irons and hit the ball on the island green. Jesus pulled out a 6 iron and hit the ball short into the water and proceeded to walk out on the water, get the ball and walk back to tee up again. Again, the same result, short and into the water, so he walked out, got the ball and walked back on the water to the tee and teed up again. Just then, the foursome coming up from the 16th hole had seen the attempts and the results. They asked John and Peter "Who does that think he is, Jesus Christ?". - John and Peter said "No, he thinks he is Jack Nicklaus".

Re: Walking On Water
framerman, excellent story. The way to succeed in life is so simple, but yet so difficult at the same time. As they say, common sense is the rarest kind.
