Re: Is This Video Real Or Staged?

I'm a Google wiz and I totally forgot to hanks. Yes, it turns out, at least from Google and numerous other blogs about it, that it is indeed a Will Ferrel Movie, The Other Guy that was/is being filmed in NYC.

We have a number of NYC guys on the forum. I have tried my best to find the hammer that launches the car over, but my video feed isn't that clear. I still think its fake and a movie would be a perfect scenario

Yea, it looked like the crowd was going to run to help the passenger of the car, but instead, they turned to the wrecking ball?

Re: Is This Video Real Or Staged?

A) The van wasn't rolling, it was stopped at the beginning of the clip and you hear it peel out.

B) You hear the director yell "Cut" midpoint-ish in the video, and it's echoed 2, 3 times.

C) Too many people ran to the ball immediately after...not normal

D) The guy behind camera said "It was right on at 40"...at least that's what I made out.

Def a movie/commercial.

That would have been ALL OVER the news locally here in NYC and nationally.

Fake.

Re: Is This Video Real Or Staged?

What stood out to me most was that the van supposedly had enough weight to stop that wrecking ball on the spot. No way that would be the case. Forward momentum of that ball would have kept it swinging.

Fake, the ball is too big and doesn't have the weight it should.
