Using Your Tools. Choosing A Dentist.

I decided to change dentist, ( not sure why). So I've been jacking round with this new guy for 3 weeks and have been in alot of pain. They wanted my 1/2 payment in advance and have already billed and been paid by the insurance co. (which they are not supposed to do until the crown is set).

Sooo yesterday I get on the computer and find 3 unanswered complaints,(BBB), against this guy. I google the guy in and find that he has pled guilty to a couple of charges of "insurance fraud" in exchange for getting some dropped.

Point: I could have checked the out before I went there and saved myself a bunch of trouble.

Going to see him today. One of us might be in the slammer before sundown.

Don't let him fool you with the oxygen mask trick either.

That is a good idea on checking them out on the computer first.

Re: Using Your Tools. Choosing A Dentist.

I do the waiting room check. I make the appointment, get there 15 minutes early, and if I am not in the chair by 15 minutes after the appointment time I just leave. It took me 4 trys, but I have had the same dentist for the past 15 years, and he doesn't waste my time. I do the same for anything with a set appointment time, BTW.

Re: Using Your Tools. Choosing A Dentist.

I am a white knuckle dentist type...silly, ain't it. I would rather fight a grizzly bear with a switch in the woods at night then go to the dentist. I would rather get an IRS auditor mad at me then go to the dentist. And after many years I found a good dentist. I went to have my teeth cleaned and they found a cavity... first in years, so anyway, apointment at 2 pm last thursday, I show at 1:30 and straight in, no wait, get it on (the gas), and here comes the doc..all over in a few minutes.

After reading this one, I will check online if I ever have to look around again.
