Up At 4 At Super 8 In VT....

OK, so I’m up at 4 because I can’t sleep. I can’t sleep for all the traffic is 10 feet from the room door. There’s rain, so it makes it oh so much more quiet. A minute of sleep…….VROOOM. A minute of sleep……VROOOM.

So, I thought I’d get myself up, make a cup of nice coffee in the room. OK, when you leave someone a coffee maker, coffee, water…….what could possibly go wrong??? Hmmmm, maybe……a filter?

So I drag myself out of the room, go grab my coffee cup out of my truck, head towards the lobby. No one’s there, but I don’t care there’s coffee! Mmmm, look to my left….Raisin Bran! I’ll have myself a bowl of Raisin Bran too, nothing special. Let’s see….hmm, where are the bowls? And milk? **** it. I’ll just grab an apple juice from this dispenser thingy they got in the corner here. Hope it’s cold, my mouth is tasting a little like bird poop from all the beer I drank last night.

Gulp, gulp, gulp……aaahh. Cold, tastes good. Hmmm….what the?

Fruit flies…..in my apple juice. All over the dispenser now that I clear my head and actually look….at 4 in the morning. It's now left a nice aftertaste. Prolly fermented.

My day is going to suck.

And actually, there's a little more to the story. I went in oh..half hour to hour later and there was a lobby full of people.....drinking their morning cup of OJ. I went over to the machine, saw the swarm of fruit flies still buzzing around, then confronted the guy in my usual pleasant manner that I have.

He said "I cleaned it, what else would you like me to do?"

I said "People in theis lobby are drinking fruit flies, like I did a half hour ago!"

You should have seen the look on peoples faces. He actually was mad at me. threatened to throw me out LOL. I wasn't in a very good mood this morning, but my wife sure got a chuckle out of it.
