Re: Things I Love

Yesterday morning we’re getting ready to start opening gifts. I had set-up the laptop in the family room to Skype with my youngest daughter and her husband in San Diego.

I walk over to start the Skype session and my oldest says: “Before you do that, there’s a gift upstairs that needs to be opened before we start Skyping”. We head up to the living room, my oldest says: “Come-on, it’s outside… It’s too big to put under the tree”. I’m thinking WTF!

She opens the front door and there’s my daughter and her husband standing on the front porch.

I cried like a little girl.

It’s been six years since we’ve had the whole family home for Christmas.

That was well orchestrated.

Finishing up a pretty good year with almost no money owed to me. Usually always have about 20k out at all times.

If you want, you can lend me $20K and I'll pay you back in February.

Re: Things I Love

I love seeing strong come ups for the little guy.

I was just at the local watering hole across the street. Barstool buddy's work was looking to pare down staffing. They offered a severance package of 1 year paid. He took it, figured he could get another job of equal pay by springtime. Got headhunted by a competitor and had the job locked up within a week. My man just got cut a check for his entire year's salary, and no gap in employment.
It's going to allow him and his wife to buy in the area we live in instead of getting pushed out.
This is great news for the neighborhood.
I hope Forbes runs a feature on him. "Middle Class Come Up of the Month."

My neighbor up the street is a pharmacist. Can't imagine how many pills he has to consume a day to do that boring job everyday.

That is pretty badass. Also, I think I need to live somewhere where surfing on December 30th won't cause hypothermia.

What cracks me up about the younger generation is they will pose and smile nice for all sorts of pics with their friends and constantly do selfies to post online but when you ask them for a pic, they stick their tongue out...
