Re: Things I Love

Got the day off work, the sun is shining and it's so warm out. Maybe I'll work on the jeep, or sit on the patio of the local watering hole.

Getting a recall on my Ceros sander after owning it for 3 1/4 years. They gave me a new one.

Ya baby.

Ya baby.

Let's see....it probably cost them $29 to manufacture and they charged you $600.

It's cheap PR.

Re: Things I Love

Well, I bought my original one for $500. Came with the sander, systainer box, power supply, a bunch of sandpaper, a tape measure and a hat.

After 2 1/2 years I sent it in to have the speed board replaced under warranty as the sander no longer worked.

After about 10 months I got a recall notice that my sander was one of the ones that had a defective speed board, might burst into flames at any moment (oh my LOL)

I sent it back on their dime, and they sent me a brand new one.

So after 3 1/2 years of hard use, I got another new sander for no charge.

Me likey.

Having my 9 year old help pick, pit and bake cherry crisp and cherry pie.

I have about 8 cups left on the tree to make something with.

Re: Things I Love

Breaking my back demoing a master bath with tile 6' up the walls, plaster the other 3' and a cast iron tub by myself for the past three days, then taking the evening to drink a few beers and listen to records. Knowing that I'm done hauling tile, until I have to haul the fresh stuff up from the basement when the time comes.

"Listening to records", damn...I haven't heard that phrase in a month of Sunday's.

What records, Floyd, James Taylor, Zepplin?

A lot of band still release material on vinyl. Tonight is Dinosaur Jr., Bongripper, Dead Kennedys and Grateful Dead.

The sound is great and the act of choosing something that you physically have, dusting it off and sitting down to listen/enjoy is a great disconnect every now and again.

Love my records. Don't get enough time to listen these days. Thorens TD-124 here.

Re: Things I Love

I've had a few records and listened to them on a Crosley for a year or two, but decided to bite the bullet and buy a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC and start buying more vinyl last summer. So glad I did.

Re: Things I Love

When the countertop company cuts the laminate countertop too long, and it's their fault for not reading measurements right. No cost to fix and won't put me behind schedule
