We don't have to do any renewal courses. We do have to pay 350 bucks every two years though.

As much as I loved my trip I didn't like the traffic. We hit road construction on the way back and lost 2 hours waiting through it. I didn't get home till 1 AM and I work today. I feel like death.

I have a ton of work on my house and the weather was awesome. However, I was able to spend the day watching some great old movies while the videos ran. That was pretty fun.

It is similar to being sick on a snow day. Many things I needed to be doing. True, it needed done, but sucked non the less.

Re: Things I Hate

My best friend is friends with this chick we both used to work with.. I had to stop being friends with her about 2 month into it because she was just too stupid and too self centered, too complainy. .. she's is basically everything that gives women a bad rap...times 1000.

So yesterday my friend comes by and tells me that this ad sloopy drunk wasted sperm accidentally killed her dog last week.

He continued to tell me how she woke up and polished off a bottle of red wine before she even had breakfast and then decided to take her dog to the park. She lives in Vegas mind you and from what I hear, it's about 115 degrees there right now. So she takes her half husky half pit bull down to the car, puts him inside and goes back upstairs to do God knows what, and starts drinking again and passes out for 4 hours.

She woke up and starts looking for the dog and oh guess what? She finds him dead in her car. Every door panel was shredded from him trying to scratch his way out... there was slobber covering the entire car and the poor dog was dead trying to hide underneath the dashboard where the only little bit of shade was.

I hate that the dog had to go thru that and die that way, but I'm finding some satisfaction in the fact that she has to live with that on her conscience the rest of her self absorbed life.

So so sad. Hopefully this makes her change her ways. But it probably wont.

Re: Things I Hate

I hate when people discount the simple pleasures of life-

Like for instance when people speculate how a magician did a trick if they can't figure it out rather than be amused. Or if they know how the trick is done, they make it their business to make it known, thus ruining everyone else's fun.

Another is when a comedian tells a joke and they try to guess the punch line or heckle the comedian.

That's sickening Madrina. She would be charged here. There was a gal a few summers ago that spent 4 or 5 hours in the air conditioned Starbucks surfing the web while her dog was out in almost 100 degree heat. He didn't make it obviously and she was charged with animal neglect.

Re: Things I Hate

Those black flies ARE nasty. I never heard of them before taking a motorcycle ride across Canada. Somewhere near the middle I parked and then a black cloud enveloped me. As soon as I took my helmet off, it was game on. They crawled around in my hair and attacked every exposed skin. I'd run away and it would take them a few seconds to figure out where I was. And they hurt!

You sure you aren;t thinking of June bugs? Mayflies are real delicate little things kind of like a cross between a butterfly and a dragon fly.

They're terrible. Let me guess, memorial day weekend? They always come out around Victoria Day here which is our long weekend at the end of may

A may fly doesn't even have functioning mouth parts...they physically cannot bite. They live most of their lives in the larval stage.

I knew all that talk about mayflies biting had to be a joke.

Aww c'mon, apart from bugs in the spring, humidity in the summer, rain in the fall and just winter being winter...it's nice here......, just gotta find that one tuesday in early June after the blackflies are gone but before the mosquitos and horseflies come out. If you miss that day, you can wait until the 3rd Thurs in Sept, when the humidity is down but it hasn';t started getting cold.

That was way sad!!
The only good thing was that she had a dog and not a kid.
