What about those stupid commercials on tv that sell products we think will work, then they dont.

Really? I saw that same guy pushing those at a home show a year ago or so. They worked like on TV when I watched him in person.

Re: Things That Dont Work

The garden claw comes to mind. My wife bought a knock off somewhere locally for a vegetable garden we were starting. She tried it, Then i tried it for about 90 seconds. I threw it across the yard and got my mattock out of the shed.

Billy Mays, what a joke.
How about those stupid voice recorders that woman says "Milk, eggs, cheeze"? My wife got one. Records only 1 message! If you record something else, the original is deleted!

Some of those "As seen on TV" turn out to be decent products, Rain X started out that way.

And it is good? I don't really like using stuff that will kill me if the wind blows and it gets in my eyes or I breathe a little bit in.

Ever take a car in to have the windshield repaired after applying rain x? They can't fix it due to the chemical bonding agents not adhereing to the glass so you just bought yourself a new windshield.

Drive at night? Those little beads of water magnify oncoming headlights and makes driving harder not easier.

Ever get road grime/mud and no rain? Have fun.

But yes, I see what you mean. I just don't agree with the product you chose.

I like the stuff and haven't had any problems with it. I found the stuff years ago on a drive to Chicago from Houston. My wiper motor went out late at night during a storm, no way of getting the part and someone at a truck stop recommended Rain X, I bought a bottle and could not believe how well it worked. Made it all the way to Chicago in the pouring rain with no wipers and no visibility problems.
