Also seems to be hitting the little ones hard

Re: Swine Flu Is A Little Scarier Than I Thought

Seems like in the past week there have been a lot of people around here sick with the flu...some kind of flu. A family lost their 3 YO last week. Now it's scary, I have a 3 Year old grand daughter

I had a flu about 12-14 years ago that put me in a bed for 2 or 3 days...I was the only one in the household that got it at the time and it was the only time in my life that I can remember a flu actually knocking me on my azz that bad

True, probably from school. My two nieces and nephew were all stuck at home with it, maybe still have it. I got myself vaccinated while I was with them, but I took a whole bunch of vitamin C to be safe. It gave me some bad diarrhea, but it's worth it.

It's a flu.

Eat properly, take your vitamins and you will be fine.

Vaccination Shmaccination.

Modern medicine creates these problems by generating a population that is so weak, soon the common cold will be a deadly pandemic.

Yes, every year influenza will kill
some people.
This year it will mostly kill children.
I'm not worried, I am not a prime target.
Your son is though.

Yes, I'm well aware of the risk.
Also who's at risk.

My son also has a respiratory problem that they cannot diagnose as asthma until he is 5.
So we are being very careful and watchful.

He still is not getting a vaccination.

He eats properly, takes his vitamins.
And mom is a hand sanitizer nazi.

(mom is also convinced that all four of us have had H1N1 already, if so, meh, I've had worse hangovers.)

Damn, I'm starting to type like you!

I'm curious, and interested, and concerned.: why would you not get your kid the vaccination? I have a kid too, and his mom doesn't want to get him the shot but I am, at the moment, thinking it is the best thing for him.

Why do you not think so?

ps. From everything I have read it is very unlikely that you have all had H1N1 before unless you and your children are all really old.

On top of all the hype surrounding this,
money being made on it,
the ingredients of the vaccine,
and lack of testing,

I believe the machine that is the human body can, with proper nutrition and care, and should be allowed to fight these things on its own and develop natural antibodies to be passed on to future generations. If everyone did that, who would need a vaccine?

I meant she thinks we've had it in the last month.
