St Louis where are you?

Anyone from the St. Louis area?

I am heading there from the 26th - 28th for some training.

I will have Friday night and Saturday night to check out the sites.
I will stay at the Renaissance Grand Hotel Downtown, so I know that a ride up the arch is in the cards first.

Anyone recommend a great restaurant, or a fun bar in that area?

I would like to enjoy the city as best I can while I am there.

All the bars are on "The landing" right there next to the arch. Look for the 3 or 4 huge tower cranes that are working on the new casino and you'll be at "The landing" Of course, you could take a taxi to the East side and visit one or two of the MANY gentleman establishments! Other than that, St.Louis is pretty dull I think.....that or I'm just getting old! Have fun

We went out there last year for some training. The arch cars are a little small, if you have issues with confined spaces you might want to rethink it. You can buy a ticket for the Arch and the sewer (river) boat tour and save some money. Allow about 2 hours for the Arch tour since they have a cool museum. There is a Casino within walking distance of the Arch or they will pick you up at your hotel for free. For some reason people use the shuttle service as a free taxi.

BTW, the strong urine smell is actually the river. Take note of how many plus size people there drink bud-light.
