Some Views From New England
My current job has me traveling from Boston north into NH, Maine, and VT. So I get lots of opportunities to take some pictures. I'll keep posing them if everyone enjoys them and Nathan keeps letting me
Not many places can you see a truck parked in a hay field with an american flag holding it up. Saco, Maine ![]() Nashua, NH. Triangle shaped manhole covers. never seen anything but round. They musta got a bargain!

Nice place for a cemetery. Kennebunk, Maine. Triangle covers go kaplunk!

Re: Some Views From New EnglandAny of the Toronto crew reading this? If you can take a photo of the cemetery where the 427 north meets the 401 west, or even better, go to Pearson International and grab a photo of the cemetery out in the middle of the runways. That will be a shocker for a few.

Re: Some Views From New England
I was worried about that one when they expanded the turnpike. I thought for sure that they were going to move it. Where in Saco did you find the truck with the flag? I just returned from Maine this morning and I'll be up there again next weekend.
BTW, I tried to get some pics of the *** tee shirt contest on the pier in OOB but my cell phone camera does not work well with the lighting. |

Re: Some Views From New England
If you Google 90 Louden Road, Saco Maine, you can actually see the truck in the field. Must've been there a long time. Just found it quirky out in the field with a flag and haying around it.
Here's another one in Maine. Not really a job I went to, but man I love it up there. 2½ hour trip for us, but worth it. Has a little 25x25 non insulated camp on it. Kids sleep on the floor. Has water and electricity, but no phone which is what we like.

Re: Some Views From New England
Here is a nice view from Vermont looking west toward upstate NY. The big mountain far and just the right of center is Whiteface Mountain (Ski area and close to Lake Placid,NY). I live about about 1-½ miles down the hill from here.

Re: Some Views From New England
I am seriously kicking myself today. If I could turn the clock back, I would make sure I remembered to bring my camera. Man, what a waste today. Northern NH and W. Maine. Oh man, I think I'm actually gonna go and retrace my steps just for pics.

Annenberg Hall, Harvard. I drove down into the beast today. I ended up in the middle of Harvard. This building is gigantic. Gigantic doesn't even begin to describe how big this is. The craftsmanship is impeccable.

Re: Some Views From New England
This one is from our home. We have a large field, about 30 acres in size and since we abut up to the White Mountain Nat'l forest, we get lots and lots of wildlife. This one, while not a shocker, was the first one seen this year in our field. This is a baby moose, maybe a mama, not very big. You will see signs in Maine everywhere, "Watch for moose in the roadway" These big guys would destroy an 18 wheeler and walk away. You name it, if it lives in Maine, we've seen it in this field.

Re: Some Views From New England
Planning on the wife and I taking a vacation up to the New England states about this time next month. Never have been there before, except for being stationed in New London for a couple of months, and would like to try to see some of the country. Got travel books for the region and while I figure we'll miss a lot of sights will try to get what we can. It looks like some very beautiful country though.
