Solving Problems

Got this in an email, you may have already seen it.

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately.

Illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, wild animals attacking humans in Florida .

Not me. I concentrate on solutions to problems.

+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border

+ Use the dirt to raise the levies in New Orleans

+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat.

Any other problems you would like me to solve today?

Do you have a solution to these problems? Mister Smarty Pants.

+ Who is going to dig the moat?

+ Who is going to move the dirt?

+ Who is going to supply the water for the alligators?

Paul Bunyan and Babe The Blue Ox ,I take it.

Details, Details, Details........you have to think like a GC.

Re: Solving Problems

Honestly I hav ebeen saying they should raise the level of the land in LA since the hurricanes hit. I don't think it would be too daunting of a task, I mean they did it in Chicago after the great fire. One developer turned some marsh land into land by trucking in his excavated dirt from other job sites. It is logistically possible.

Instead I see them building houses on 4' stilts.

Good solution. May take care of their contaminated earth problem too. How many meth labs do you think got washed into the earth along with everything else?

Re: Solving Problems

Grumpy, I have seen them dump 500 CuYds into a pad for a gas station and never raise the site. You can not compact the soil in New Orleans, you can only make it wriggle. It would take half the dirt in Mississippi to raise New Orleans above sea level.
