Senior Citizens: Gotta Love 'em

So guys, I do alot of work for our elderly folks. Over the years, I've noticed a few things:

1. They will fart in front of you and act like nothing happened. And if they notice there's no shame."Scuuse me, baby, I ate some pinto beans and neckbones earlier; you don't mind a little stinky, do you?"

2. They might pay you in Susan b. Anthony half dollars. Don't matter if their bill is $450. They'll tell you something like," If you hold on to these half dollars long enough, they'll be worth their weight in gold"

3. They will always offer you something to eat or drink. Even if it is yesterday's leftovers.

4. They will always make you do extras and talk to you about th' old days and how better it was then. They love to talk, talk, and more talk. Even if you have a schedule to keep

5. They love to give you gifts. Those beenie babies from the '80? Yours !

6. Will pick their arse in front of you, scratch the nuts if they have to.

7. They love to make you rearrange heavy stuff in their home.

Le'me see...are there any more things memorable? I dunno...

What have y'all experienced? Good luck....

It's all true.

One to add: Lonley, widowed GILF's are kind of creepy!! ( in a kind of hot way, no I wont, I dont care how much $$ and how little time she has left. Maybe....)

G and ilf should not be used in the same sentence much less same word.

Think of the Granny in the old playboy magazines

Re: Senior Citizens: Gotta Love 'em

Had one give me a 60 year old Kmart guitar for my 5 year old son. I think it 3 strings still on it.

My wife makes me throw away the cakes when I get them. She is afraid that they are insane in the membrane and throwin rat poison in them.

I love the Seniors too. I'm painting a house right now for an 80 year old who claims he was going to go ahead and do it himself but he couldn't say no to my price! The gables are about 30 feet up and part of the siding you have to stand on 8/12 cedar shingled roof to get to! Ya, right tough guy, lol.

That's the truth... I had a lady who said she'd toss my salad if I wasn't married........

Same lady told me to come back over when I feel the need to get naughty..

Yep. One lady insisted on making me a christmas fruit cake from scratch-a recipe she got from from her grandmother. I told her no; I don't want her to go through ALL THAT trouble. She said "No trouble; I make ALL of ma grandbabies and kinfolk fruit cakes and I just love makin' em, plus, a few kins I caint seem to contact won't get theirs this chrismas so I got extra."

They say your memory is
the first thing to go.

Re: Senior Citizens: Gotta Love 'em

Was fixing some water damage in an assisted living home. A female resident gave me some homemade candies, against my better judgement I took a taste, filling was toothpaste.

But at another seniors home on a whole house remodel she kept my brand beer in quantity in the garage fridge and a lot of T-bone dinners. I'm still friends with her, not the norm for customers.

Nobody has mentioned that they often expect you to work for Depression Era prices.
