Saving money on groceries

We all need to eat a little better and eating organic is one way. Sadly, it costs more than regular food. If you want to save a little money, shop online at http://www.iherb.com If you use coupon code GOV193, you can save $5 off your first order and free shipping.

My wife keeps a 30 x 70 garden as a lot of other people on here do. She had a great year this year, especially with the cold weather plants such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, brussel sprouts, etc. She blanches and freezes all of them and many more. She grates and freezes zucchini squash for bread during the winter, pumpkins for breads, pies, desserts or what ever. Between her garden and my hunting and fishing, we spend more money in eating out than we do in groceries.

Beside that there is nothing better than homegrown

Every year from mid August to late September, squash and tomatoes is always on the dinner table. It's cool and all, but I wish we could spread it out throughout the whole year instead of so much at one time.
