A REAL riddle!

Riddles are fun, and after seeing the last thread about one, I decided to start this one. The last thread is more of a physics question than a riddle.

Here's a riddle for all of you smart guys:

How long is a piece of string?

Have fun!

I went to my wifes box of tampons and measured the string.
One of the members above this post is correct.

"a piece of string" is actually 14 letters long.
But this is my second guess.

"a piece of string" is actually 4 words long.
But this is my third guess.

It's not my fault I look the way I do.
My mom smoked crack and ate shrooms when she was pregnant with me.

But anyway...what did I win?
Hopefully a new box to put all of these tampons back into, I was in a hurry and broke the original box. Those little missiles went flying everywhere.
At first I was gonna go buy a whole new box, but then I figured the cashier would laugh at me.

What I win for the right answer?

LoL...DANG! I thought this would last at least a little while before someone got it. Most people can only give a blank stare when propositioned with this question. The length of a piece of string is twice the distance from it's center to either end.

Funny how string theory and pie come up, lol! Gonna need a tougher riddle....
