This Is For Real

$90.00
Toilet Lid Sink

With each flush of your commode, clean water that would otherwise go straight down the toilet is first routed up through a chrome gooseneck spigot to dispense pure water for hand washing. The Toilet Lid Sink installs easily without tools, is attractive for any bathroom and is a great space saver. Shuts off automatically. Porcelain-like white plastic replaces your existing tank top and adjusts to fit standard toilets up to 8in wide and 18-22in long. Built-in soap dish. Overhang varies up to 1.5in.

What do you think of this? Would you use one in your house? Do you know anybody who would use it? Some of this stuff is crazy to me, but then again I'm one of those guys who never thought people would pay $6.00 for a cup of coffee either.

Re: This Is For Real

I think it is a funny idea... Not something I would want in my house. I bet it will get used over in china and europe where they have no space for anything... Shoot you dont need a sink at all then. Go to the bathroom first flush then wash your hands and wet your toothbrush. Then spit into the toilet and let your wife go to the bathroom flush and use that water to rinse your toothbrush. You could be saving gallons of water a day AND gain all that extra space taken up by your sink.

I wouldn't like it for the fact that I would be constantly sitting on a wet toilet!! Once you're done washing, the wet hands gotta drip somewhere!

I'm pretty sure that thing would go over like gangbusters here in Ann Arbor aka "7 square miles surrounded by reality"

This place is crawling with granola heads.

DOH!

If that's the only thing stopping you from using this Grumpy, I will hook yours up so that it T's from the water line, I don't want you to have to deny yourself one of these over a technicality!

Re: This Is For Real

It seems like it uses the water that's used for refilling the tank except that it's routed through the spigot first before going into the tank. I don't see a problem with that since it's directly from the supply line.

That being said- I wouldn't have one in my house.

Those damn things have been around a long time, however they only made them in stainless steel and ya had to check in with a strip search to use it.
