Yeah,

My wife was going to leave to visit her Mom in the hospital, but she didn't think the snow was too deep for her car to drive through.

As my parents used to tell me, when I told them I didn't think about whatever.....

She Didn't Think!!!

So, instead of calling me to use my freshly repaired snowblower, she tries to drive right through this chit.

Here is a photo of my boy, Little Eddie, helping me dig out the bottom of the driveway.

So, Do You Think She Had A Snowballs Chance In Hell To Get Through That Pile?

Ed

I was thinking about buying a condo or townhouse in Palos Heights until i seen how much the property taxs were. It was off of ridgeland around like 135th around there.

That would probably be on the property that used to be the Wesgate Golf Course.

My Sister and Brother-In-Law live about 6-8 blocks East of there in Crestwood.

It is unincorporated and they get a lot of tax subsidies from the near-by OTB, with a very very large yard, and there taxes are less than 1/2 of mine. The neighborhood was starting to go through the changes that happen, where someone bought an existing house and bulldozed it down, just to build a McMansion.

I used to make a lot of money on Saturday Mornings selling golf balls at the golf course entrance, from sneaking into the course and wading in the ponds and stepping on old golf balls and cleaning them up and putting the in brown paper bags.

I know exactly where your talking about. There did use to be a golf course on Ridgeland. It was a little south of 127th. I currently pay between 2700-2800 a year in property taxes for 3 bedroom and 2 car garage. The property taxes on that condo/townhouse they said would be 5,000-5500. I like noway. What a lot of people don't know is when you hit kankakee county your property taxes go down.
