Princess Cruises Customer Service, Sucks

Short version, went on a Alaska cruise, went to the art auction, spent $600 on the framed, signed navigation chart from our trip. Auctioneer said 6 to 8 weeks you will recieve the chart-----trip was in august, we are in november, no chart. I call princess, they refer me to the auction house in Florida, i call them 2 weeks ago, speak to 3 people, no one knows where the chart is. I call princess back expecting them to get involved, they say "call the manager of the auction house, there is nothing we can do". I explain to her i paid princess, but Diane Heilman held firm in her position. I even asked her, "as a contractor, if my plumber screwed something up in your house and i was the contractor, would it be ok for me to tell you to deal with him directly when you paid me"? At which point she reponded, "we could go on all day here, but there is nothing i can do". Man this company sucks, now i have to waste more of my time correcting something i did not do. I have enough of my own screwups to deal with. GMOD

Re: Princess Cruises Customer Service, Sucks

Diane Heilman better sort this out.

You may want to try mailing a letter. Last time I did that, the response was quick. Companies get so few letters anymore that when they do get them, they have quite an impact.

How about calling the one who booked the cruise. Not saying that they can do it but they may have inside information on who to call.

Good luck

Damn Gene, you gotta put the breaks on this downward spiral you're in. Car broken into, potential litigation and now this.

Did you piss off Karma somewhere?

Call the CC co. They will do a back-charge, which takes the money from the vender who billed you. That will get someone's attention. They will call wanting to get it fixed...problem solved!

Simply solved - sink the ship, you have no logical other choice.

Captain and all the ships officers, it was the actual navigation chart that was used on our cruise to Alaska, it was 39"x52", framed. They auctioned it off as a fund raiser and we thought it would make a pretty unique souvenire. The chart cost about 300, then another 300 for framing and shipping. GMOD

Re: Princess Cruises Customer Service, Sucks

Thanks all for your suggestions, here is the update, I get a call from the Art Gallery today, they inform me officially that my piece is MIA. they offer to credit my charge for the framing and the shipping, thats is about half of the $600. She then advises me to call Princess for the remaining balance. So now i have more calls, and more aggravation to deal with. By the way, i can expect the credit to be posted to my account December or January.......Could you imagine if we did business the way these A-Holes do. GMOD.

David Festa had the right idea, please copy and paste the opening post and send it to the link, we can really use this network to get the attention of poorly run businesses. GMOD
