Play Ball!

Another MLB season has started. My team going for the repeat. It's going to be a great ride. I think Detroit looks good this year. Sorry Minnesota. Yankees suck. Go Red Sox!

First game of the year, Red Sox 6 Oakland 5. Manny being Manny.

What does everyone think of the opener being in Japan? 6 am here when it started and of course, people were in bars drinking at that time!

Re: Play Ball!

Teams to watch this year...Red Sox (of course) - Mets - Tigers - Cubs......HaHaHaHa yeah...go cubbies. For the first half of the season I just enjoy the game. After the break, it's on. The talented guys that can stay healthy into the start of the second half stand a much better chance to make the post season than the teams that are smoking at the begining of the season....look at the Tigers last year. I am a little bit interested in what the Dodgers can do with Tore. I personally think they will still suck balls but ya never know. I'm just glad there is baseball to watch. And Mag...please see my avitar, than re-read it!

My mood improves three clicks when Indians baseball comes back in the spring!!! Good opener today. TRIBE WINS! I'm a little nervous about Victor Martinez getting injured in the first game of the season. big Haf better step it up this year too. Tribe pitching will dominate this year!

it will always be "the Jake" to me. Progressive field?? I don't care for that name.

Re: Play Ball!

NYY get the win 3-2 setting a major league record for their 11th straight home opening day victory. If the last opening day loss was 1997, then that was the game where Mark Macguire hit a ninth inning homerun into the black. I was at that game. Then again, I went to 8 straight home openers from 1996 - 2004.

161 wins to go
