I think in my area it won't get over the $3.25 price. For some reason gas prices stay about a dime lower here than the rest of the country.

If your in a major urban area, I'm betting over 4 bucks a gallon, because of the MTB thing. Its funny how Brazil, after the gas shortages of the early 70's, could get their national ***** together, and by next year they will become energy independant, by a consertated effort of their government. Yet in this country, Exxon and the other huge oil monopolies, have record profits, and Exxon's retiriring CEO fat ass Raymond is getting a 400 million dollar gold watch. And don"t say I'm some bleeding heart liberal, don't even mention free market economy, if Brazil could switch to ethanol, we sure as hell could have done it faster if we had politicians who had the will to do so.

We're already $3 here so it wouldn't take much of a stretch to go over $4 in a few mos.

Our gov't is having problems with Venezuela and Mexico who supply us 12.8% and 12.0% respectively. Either one or both could turn off the tap any day.

It's already $3.05 for reg by my house, so I don't doubt it will get to $3.50 or higher.

I don't get why diesel is so much higher!!!

I don't either. When I got my sprinter in august 2004, diesel was $1.30/gal or $33/fillup, now $80/fillup hurricane season '04 spawned this FCKING trend, diesel was the cheapest thing at the pump, now it's the most, I don't get it either, either way I got it because of fuel efficiency and ready for bio-diesel. FAr as I'm concerned, this is all just a means to an end, probably moving to brazil within the next 5-7 years

Heck, When my dad got his diesel in 96 I think it was only .99 cents a gallon. Now he doesn't even drive it unless its to pull our horse trailer or the bobcat trailer.

Were already in trouble, our economy is a house of cards with wall to wall mirrors. Rising oil prices will push us off the cliff.

Re: Place Yer Bets!!!... How High Will Gas Go By July 4th Weekend?

Bottom line remains with increasing demand worldwide, fuel prices will rise. I was in cross country trucking for several years and when I quit, diesel was $1.45 average with $2.10 in California....and we thought we would die then. A few weeks ago, a news channel did an interview with T. Boone Pickens and he predicted we will see $5 gas this summer, and if we are lucky, it may stabilize around $4. So get set.
