Sorry to hear that.
As hard as it is for your wife,
I hope she can take some comfort
in knowing that at least, her Mom's
suffering is over now.
You will be in our thoughts,
I know you will be there for your wife.

I do not know if she could grasp the occassion of you Matrimony, but at least we can assume that she left knowing that her Daughter was happy, safe and cherished having married you!

Allow your wife to grieve and give her the room to do so. She will let you know when she needs comforting. Grieving is a very personal and private thing at times.

No plattitudes from me, just know that you have a Friend in me if and when needed!

I'm a little late here:

Sorry to hear about your's, and your wife's loss. I don't know if you have any children. If so, I'm sure they too are affected, as your whole family is. Help strengthen each other.

My condolences as well.
