For any bad comments i had made concerning your bigotry towards certain
ethnic groups. As a canadian i had no right to question your feelings toward
illegal latinos or others that compete on a level that prevents y'all from
making a living wage.

Just got back from a trip down to FLA and now see what you poor guys are
up against. The problem has gotten bigger and very quickly as the econ
has contracted in the US and the illegal's countries of orgin.

Good luck, thought you were being unreasonable until i got a closer look
down in the Tampa area.

Canada has been for sale to imagrants for years. The West Coast big cities seem like China.Almost any one with money can go to Canada and then sponser other family members in. Many mid east imigrants find their way to Canada. And whats with French Canadians. Canada should have a common language, English.

Bush has recently been trying to strong arm the canucks into taking
all the displaced from iraq. Our leadership finally showed some back
bone and said no, US caused the problem, you take the refugees &
not just the oil.

I fear the corporates and politicians will open floodgates right
after the current & coming elections, then we are all skrewd.

Our economy and real estate is still booming, its when it all
dies that we learn how bad off we really are. No or few mexican
illegals or central american but i would be stupid to say they
won't be hear soon.

As for the language, the french were here first, their heritage
of 300 years needs to be respected.
JUST REMEMBER: In europe 3 or 4 languages are taught at school and they expect fluency. Swiss have 3 official languages. And the
socialist economies of europe are doing twice as good as the americans
and probably 50% better than canada.

I fear that bush and the corporate money guys that installed him
are out to destroy our comfortable ways of life thru allowing illegals
in to destroy us. If they were CEOs and stock market guys, they
be shooting them before they got to the border.

Not quite first
Some of my ancestors passed through about 10,000 years before the French showed up
Not all of their pals continued on this far south
I'm sure a few hung around there until the French arrived

It is very, very, difficult to understand the scope of the problem unless you are actually placed in the middle of it for a bit...and in the middle of a tough area
There are some here that think their area/trade is hard hit, but would start crying if placed in an area/trade that some others have to deal with
There are different levels of the problem for sure

The thing is, Canada's weather is brutal. Nobody but the biggest losers would immigrate there. If Canada can't get enough people to live there, the nation will be like a white Haiti, instead of a frozen Viet Nam.

We're having a real bad time with Viet-Canadians coming down and doing major crimes and sneaking back north. They are into drugs and whores on a wholesale scale and the sissies on the westside are too p.c. to harass them.

It is, and they are. But it's a little tougher to enter Canada from the U.S. than it is to enter the U.S. from Mexico.

Also, the climate isn't conducive to it. I wold suspect Hispanics find it too cold in the Winter. And there is no cheap housing for them.

That said, our illegals are probably in this order:

Chinese
Eastern Europeans (Ukraine, Russia...)
Cubans
Americans
Mexicans

Canada is way to liberal and a bit socialist. It wont be long for the Canadian government to abolish parenthood as the government knows how to raise your child better than the average Canadian. This along with the lax drug laws added to the Canadian citizenship for sale will be problematic. Respect the French and the whole country will be speaking french. These guys would rather have nothing to do with the Canadian Government anyway as they would rather succeed and form their own government.

Canada is big. Bigger than than the states. With geography that huge there are huge variances in political and indeed fundamental beliefs.

In the west we are way more like texas than Toronto. In the west we like America. We like free speech, We like our personal freedoms and beliefs.
In the east they see Americans as super arrogant, elitist ignorant of the rest of the world. The East wants more than anything to be diffrent than America.

A wise old man once told me that the current US/CDN border ran the wrong way.....it should have been made to run north - south. He said the easterner in both the US and Canada were wacked. He was a welder from central Alta.

I lived in Red Deer, Alberta until I was 18. Then I went to college in Texas and never looked back. Western Canada breeds common sense. Y'all would make a fine country, or even a better US state. Think of yourselves as Texas - North.

Now the open door immigration policy is definitely a killer...just fly into YVR some time. Different races, languages, and culture...the place is a zoo. In the lower mainland, I don't see alot of social and cultural integration.

If you come to a new country from a hell hole...leave your crap way of doing things back there. We'll see how this all turns out.

Oh, and when y'all adopt more freedoms for law abiding folks...maybe I'll build a summer home in Calgary...but you have to let me bring all my toys (that go bang)
