OK, So Who's Working Today And Who's Not?

I was planning on coming today for 1/2 day or so. Maybe 12-5. But because my finish distributor neglected to put the catalyst into my pre cat lacquer I am in here for a full day stripping moldings and refinishing them just to get to the point I was yesterday.

I would rather be home with my family, who are all at home with a day off than fixing up someone else's error.

Oh, and they offered to replace the 1/2 gallon of product I used with a whole 1 gallon of new product. Who boy, thanks for the extra half gallon. I will probably spend 6 hours repairing this mess only to be a day behind where I should be and they offer me $26 and will think they are even with me.

I will be talking to the big guy and getting more than one gallon out of this.

So I should be at the shop for a good portion of the day. The only saving fgrace is the weather suck and I would be in the house all day anyway. But I would be watching the boob tube and playing on the internet.

Re: OK, So Who's Working Today And Who's Not?

I just stopped by home, on my way to top coat some drywall patches and a wall I built.

I will spend the majority of the day just driving around.

Re: OK, So Who's Working Today And Who's Not?

Started out I was going to, but frinds had other ideas....seems like everyone has been calling gonna stop by and visit...What ever.

I was going to attach the backsplash to a countertop and set it, throw in some kick plates and grab a check, but it will keep until monday.

Just got in.
Wed. was one of those crazy days.
Finished up a four brick to brickwindow replacement as the building super was yelling at us to get out.
The window sub didn't even have time to clean so I went in to do some cleaning this morning.
Easy day with the befefit of walking through midtown checking out the Christmas decorations.

Re: OK, So Who's Working Today And Who's Not?

Still here. Got two more molding to scrub the finish off and put a properly catalyzed finish back on. At the end of today I will be back to where I was when I left on Wed.

This sucks.

Haven't had a day off in 3 weeks. Working part time at H. Depot and doing side jobs when I'm not there. Not complaining though

Next in line for that is it has to be done by Christmas. Even though a lot of place become short handed at this time of year and places close early and snow delays.......

Sure, it'll be done for Christmas
