Re: A New Start

Girls that drink = Bad. Why did you get involved with her in the first place if she had a drinking problem? Were you aware of it from the beginning? I had a girl with a drinking problem once, she would get drunk then accuse me of every stupid thing she did. Her worse incident was whacking some guy over the head with her purse and breaking his glasses, he was just walking down the sidewalk minding his own business too. Later it was always my fault for not caring for her well being. If a girl shows any sign of a drinking problem, just go away, quick. And she was very controlling too, maybe girls that drink and controlling goes hand in hand.

Re: A New Start

I didnt realize it at the beginning, i was drinking alot too. I stopped drinking because i dont feel it is right to do around children on a daily basis. I noticed around 3-3 1/2yrs ago she was hiding her beer cans in the basement and outside. We had fridges upsairs and downstairs so she had beer in each fridge. It was when i left Corrections and was home during the evening that i really noticed how much consumtion there was. When she first got home from school she was pounding 3-4 beers an hour but would slow down to an average of 2 beers an hour after the first hour or so. She was drinking around 10-14 beers a day during the week and at least an 18 pack a day on weekends. If she had family in town she was on a binge, a case a day was the norm for family events. She was the second relationship that started in a Bar that ended badly. Never meet woman in a Bar for a relationship, they are there for the same reason as men. Bar hoppers are their for a good time and to score, its that simple. I have found all woman are controlling in some manner just as we men are. Just some of us take it alot further than others. My girlfriend and i have both been in extreme controlling relationships and we both learned from it. I now believe we are more compatible than we were before and we have both learned how to brush things off and keep positive.

Drinking a lot period isn't good, even when you're not around kids, probably why you didn't notice her drinking problem.
