My Old House, I Wanna Cry

I'll be the first to admit I'm a very sentimental person and after what I saw today I could have left crying. My very first house that I bought 16 years ago when I was engaged to my wife, I went back to today because the lady who I sold it to wants a small addition put on.
Long story short this place is trashed. I lived there 3 years and was a couple of doors down from where I grew up, in other words I knew this place as long as I can remember.

Anyways, this place was added on to about 3 years ago by a unlicensed pole barn builder who has multiple lawsuits against him. This addition has 8 inch walls and even has a 2 x 10 drywall wrapped ledger around the ceiling, just like a pole barn! She has since closed off the addition to the original house and is now a 2 unit, the addition she wants is for a stairway to the addion's basement for a third unit. There are so many flaws I could mention here, but it was just so sad to see it. I mean I have a lot of good memories here and still probably my favorite house, even though it was a small. I put my heart and soul into that house when I first bought it remodiling the inside, adding a 2 stall garage, some landscaping etc., and now it looks like *****.

It's hard to imagine what some people are thinking... Just be glad you don't think the same way!

That really is a pisser though.
