Re: Mother's Day Reminder!!

My mom is sitting upstairs in front of the food channel. Sadly she has rather advanced alzhiemers. In a couple minutes I will go up and help her to the bathroom and sit her on the pot. I will change her diaper, put some jammies on, and put her to bed. Tomorrow morning I'll get her up, give her a bath, a new diaper, and fix her some breakfast. Some days she remembers my name and who I am, most days not. Mothers Day, (Sunday's) my older brother comes over and gives me a break. Mondays my other brother spends the day with mom. Tuesday thru Friday my middle daughter watchs her grand mother. She is paid well, thats her job. Shes also a part time college student.

If you have a mom and you love her and she knows who you are, tell her that you love her......

Re: Mother's Day Reminder!!

Took Mom out for brunch today. Brought her flowers and a nice card. She's been a bit of a basket case with the uncertainty of how long my dad will be with us (after he was diagnosed with a very fast growing cancer last year). She's had to deal with that, the treatments he's been getting (with the bad side effects) and still trying to be Mom (giving advice to her three adult sons who have their own problems in their lives). Not to mention all the crap the three of us put her through as we were growing up. to all the Moms out there!!! Many times you aren't appreciated enough!!!
