"The King Of Cool"
For any one who is curious
(only Mac ever asked) and not old enough to know, here's my birthday gift. Steve McQueen (March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980) was an Academy Award-nominated American movie actor, nicknamed "The King of Cool".[1] He was born Terrence Steven McQueen (although there is some doubt over the spelling of his first name, with various sources citing it as Terence or even Terrance) in Beech Grove, Indiana, a suburban community bordering Indianapolis. His father, William, was a stunt pilot for an aerial circus, who abandoned Steve and his mother shortly before the birth. His mother, Julian, was an alcoholic; unable Steve McQueen: The King of Cool (1998) (TV) Directed by Robert Katz. With Steve McQueen, Kevin Spacey. Re: "The King Of Cool"
Happy Birthday!
Mom was from Crawfordsville(sp?) or Fortsville(sp?). Dad was born in Indy and raised in Hagerstown.

First ISP would only allow 8 characters, so... the way I pronounce it, doesn't need the "H" anyway. Still the Stone Age Man, and proud of it. Son and DIL (mostly her I suspect) organized a surprize party tonite. Thought the three of us were going to The Slippery Noodle for supper and some blues. 40 people showed up! Private room and all. Didn't think I could still be suprized.... ![]() I was wrong! ![]() ![]() Eddie Shaw was playing (first saw him 40 yrs ago as back up player for Muddy Waters) VAST quantities of magical amber Irish elixir flowed my way! Re: "The King Of Cool"
BTW:
The designer of the "new" Mustang specified that the exhaust system be tuned to match the sound track from BULLIT.

Re: "The King Of Cool"
I believe that Shelby had a hand in the movie and the new car.
I have a friend with a 350 and a 500, nothing like grinding gears in an old muscle car!
