I predict the Jockeys will be short and have a high voice.

actually I do not follow it as much as I should. It really can be heartpounding at times.

Re: Kentucky Derby?

Went to the Preakness a couple of times when I lived in Maryland. I had a good time but it's just not my style. Would you like to trade a Moose for a Horse? There are plenty of them up here.

Brother Derek is a good choice. I first started working on the horse track when I was 13 @ Les Bois Park in Boise Id. I ponied horses and aqquired my grooms lic. and then just quit that whole scene.

Re: Kentucky Derby?

Ya, I'll be betting but never on a favorite, I'll look for a longshot and take my chanches on a big payout. To me betting favorites is like kissing your sister.

Re: Kentucky Derby?

I bet on that Lemons Forever in the Kentucky Oaks today. 47-1 odds, ran dead last until... that last stretch and WON IT! I was bouncing off walls and so hyper tonight Ken is ready to tie me to a tree.

If tomorrow goes anything like today.. they will hear me squealing all the way to Toronto!

Re: Kentucky Derby?

I won a good amount on a trifecta a few years back with Strike The Gold. Something like $1,300 for a $5 bet don't really remember exactly. Got pretty toasted afterwards for a few days Been trying again eversince. After checking out the stats im going with a few of what I see as the best long shots for $2 and of course a trifecta of Barbaro, Can you run, and borther derick. We shell see. Be nice to have a few extra hundred tonight. I have to admit for me it's the rush. Although it's better in person still good on TV.

I'll never tell. The tree is when I've been good, you can only imagine the bad.

I'm waiting for the official results to go on board, but all in all, this looks to be a profitable weekend in TN. lol I "think" when all is said and done, I should be up around $450 or more off of a $20 investment. We'll see.

Re: Kentucky Derby?

We may see a run at the triple crown from this horse. Looked kinda like Sectariat. Someone stuck a rocket up his @ss must have led by 10 lengths at the wire. My betting fizzled looks like a gallon of gas and 6 pack of bud from my winnings this year. Wait $3 a gallon for gas it's gonna have to be a pony bottle.

Re: Kentucky Derby?

When I landed back in Chicago tonight and was waiting for my ride to pull up, a fella began chatting with me. He just flew back from Kentucky and said he picked the trifecta 'right on' and won in excess of $5,000! Pretty Cool!

Re: Kentucky Derby?

Never have been much for gambling, except for pool and that's not much of a gamble from my perspective However my very first poker hand was a royal straight flush in hearts, after pondering it a few minutes I had to ask "4 suits and how many cards are in the deck?"
