Jealous Husband?

On the way home from home depo 2 weeks ago sunday a lady was trying to take a pic of my sign. Less then 2 min later my phone was ringing and she said she want me to give an estimate for a 9'H X 12'W X 15" D built in bookcase. I did the meassurements that night and I told them i get back in 1-2 days with the estimate. I was there for at least 1 1/2 hours talking about her 80k kitchen she don't like and her walkin closet she want done too after the builtin, etc. The husband was't there the whole time... She one of those HOT-HOT-HOT Desperate Housewives. I left a voicemail for her and 3 days later i sent an email. This was the email:
I have the estimate for you and would like to set a time when we can meet to review. I left a message at 703-***-**** for you. Please let me know what works for you.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!

I don't want to loose this customer because they have the money and she told me if i give a good price she can recomend me for a whole new level. She also a realtor. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Re: Jealous Husband?

So where does the jealous husband come into the scene? I saw no mention of it. Just because you didn't get a call back doesn't mean anything about the husband. Maybe she didn't like the fact you were ogling her from the time you got there.

If she was a Realtor your price was probably to high. They expect us to work for peanuts so they can make their profit.

I was gonna give the price when i go back. The builtin is for her house not for client. She has a $1.5m house....

Re: Jealous Husband?

Lame story. It had nothing at all to do with a jealous husband so far.

Let me know when it gets interesting.

The Realtor has that 1.5 million dollar house because they shop everything down to the cheapest penny usually.

Once he measured me with his eyes head to toe... . He can be jealous if it's all about the look. I hate this kind of customers.

Re: Jealous Husband?

If I had any new guy or gal com into my home to do work I'd give them the once over to. Just human nature. You get a vibe, and a first impression is what counts the most when trying to reel in a new client.

Re: Jealous Husband?

Realtor red flag, 1.5 mil house red flag, 80 k kitchen she hates red flag, "we have more work if the price is right" red flag, not catching the red flags and working for free, priceless.

Hey, I read that in Penthouse Forums 20 years ago.
Or maybe I dreamed it?

Re: Jealous Husband?

I still don't see where the jealous husband comes in. You banged his wife and he didn't show up or find out. Where's the gunfire, the car chase, getting cornered in a biker bar.....

I know we work in construction, and we know about all the sexual innuendo out there...so keep it out there. Not on this forum. If you wish to run an x rated thread, or post, find another forum to do it on, period.

What he said...

Sounds like you want her more than the job.
