Ive Posted About This Already But... Im Feeling Old.. Am I Wrong Or Right

Saturday night, im 24, im home. nothing to do! I dedicate my life to the business 6 days a week, i have no social life! Its gone.. im finding it hard and harder to meet people. Am I wrong ? Everyone tells me Im a 50 year old that I need to get out.

Get up 5:30 every morning.. work 7-4, take care all aspects of business.... dad is still around with me.

Last week was nice, i had a hot date, not bad... too bad shes not calling back

People my age group and busy and about.. active relationships, always have places to go, things to do..

Well I do with my cousins, but its seldom becuase they have girls.

I basically lost all my college contacts....

I try to live a balanced life, i spend time with the fam, do family activities, vacations, try new things...I have alot of positive things going on for me right now, id say everything is in place except a Girlfriend and a social life. One big part is non existent.Ive always found it hard to communicate to others... why?

Can you older guys shed some lite on this soul? lol.

Get involved in something that interests you, that is social...take some classes, get involved with a civic or service group, whatever it takes to expand the people you come in contact with. It doesn't hurt your business either. Probably half the people I associate with are through our church or Lions Club.

There is two ways this plays out. Party young. 16-25 and work hard later in life or work young and enjoy 40-60.

My choice party young and chill out 50+ years on but the choice is yours

Step one, learn to be a better date. If she's not calling back, you need to work on your technique.

There are women to meet pretty much anywhere you go. It's all in your approach and confidence. And there's no reason you can't work hard during the day and play hard at night--especially in your 20s.

Go pick up "The Art of Seduction", by Robert Greene. While you're at it, read his "The 48 Laws of Power." Both are excellent on human nature and social dynamics. They're excellent reading from a business and sales perspective as well.

I wish I would have had my head on straight like you in my 20's....stick with what you are doing and consider what a jump you have on your future. Sacrifice while you are young and ride the gravy train when you are older and will really appreciate what you have.

At the time I thought I was living the good life - but now I look back and realize how empty it really was. Drugs, bars and raising hell just got me in a lot of trouble and I have nothing to show for the money I burned through and got a record to boot.

Joasis was dead on. Join a civic organization and you WILL make some good friends, help your community and and watch your business flourish as well. Joining the Freemasons and then the Shriners was the best thing I ever did as a man and as a businessman.

You are NOT "basically" married, when you get married you are basically married. You are playing at married.

Plazaman: you seem like a nice kid, I felt a lot like that at your age. Then I realized I was just whining about things that I could change and I started to grow up. I didn't get married (the first time) until I was almost 30.

You willget past this remember this simple phrase..."and this too shall pass".

Andy.
