It's Saturday! What's Everyone Doing Tonight?

Hey Everyone, just thought I'd start a new thread to see what kind of EXCITING plans we all have for the evening! Come on now, it IS Saturday, and you really should be taking the "Little Mrs.", (or "Mr." or "Significant Other" ) out on the town. So, what's up?

I'll start. I'm going out (4 couples) to dinner with a good group of friends. We're trying out a new Steak & Chop House that opened recently. Also, going to check out one of the couples new family addition, a baby grand piano, they just purchased. Should be a fun night out. They're all a riot!

Hope I don't miss any excitement here on the Boards tonight. Seems everytime I leave the house, (and the computer), I miss out on the action.
So, all I'm saying is, I'll be offended if there is a "Lynching" without me!
At least wait til I get home so I can tie the knot, ok?

Well.......My Judy and I will probably head down to the local watering hole. She'll dance all night, while I shoot pool. About 11:00 we'll both be hammered and begin to fight over a cute little lassie that throws me the eye. After throwing back coffee for two hours I'll end up driving home, still half drunk, while she pukes in the floor board. After just missing 2 cows and a goat, we'll make it home on nothing but corn stalks under the ride. She'll refuse to go in the house and call me a worthless cheating bostich. I'll leave her in the car and take myself to bed to await her arrival. She'll come in and tell me she's sorry and how much she loves me just before she accuses me of stealing her smokes and calling some other braud while she was outside.

Saterdays are pretty predictable around here.

What night was the fishing trip scheduled for?

I have to go to texas roadhouse with the in laws and then maybe go bowling with some of my wifes friends. Yesterday though I went out to play pool with one my buddys. He got off early and called me to "see if I could get off early too" easy answer... DUH why do you think I work for myself, I will see you at the pool hall in 45 minutes.

It's snowing
I went to Takis Pizza and got a linguica, pepper, and onion pizza and some stix (as they call mozzarella sticks)
The Teen and her Mom are watching "Rent" on DVD
I hate musicals
I hate musicals, but can appreciate "Chicago" and "Grease", so It's not that I can't watch a good one
"Rent" is everything I can't stand about musicals
This thing is such formulaic garbage
And they can't even sing
God they are horrible
The songs suck
The plot sucks
The charactors have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, they're all commie drug addicts w/o jobs-except for the stripper-who think they should all live rent free and off the money their friends-the few who acually get off their asses and earn something-give them
And they can't sing

I stuck it out for 20 extruciating minutes so they (TT&HM) wouldn't be insulted
Had I been in a Theater I would have walked out within the first 5

This thing is truly like a South Park parody of a bad musical, except that would be funny and over in 37 seconds

The pizza, however, is killer
Real killer
And they (TT&HM) made home-made from scratch cookies this afternoon
I'm brewing up some decaf now so's to wash a bunch down with
That was my excuse and how I escaped....the... event on the TV

Today I lived a day in the life of you guys.. I came out of the office and reported to a jobsite at 9am. Painted 3 sides of 12ft long boards...all 112 of them. Stacked them one place to dry then moved the stack to the porch for install. Then loaded up all the demo into a dumpster.

My plans for tonight???? A hot bath! Cook some dinner, and appreciate you guys even more for all you do. Especially hubby who had to do the real work today. Think he earned a good shoulder massage tonight. Gotta play catch up on some invoicing and emails then I'll be crashed out watching a movie or something non-movement based.


Here's to all the sore muscle survivors out there tonight.

Went to a Mardi Gras party, nothing like it. Lots of mudbugs, andouile, red beans and rice, corn on the cob, beer and other libations all done family style. Dump the pot in the middle of the table and go to it.

Waiting for my wife to sit down and watch 40 yr old virgin. She layed down with our 2 yr old son to put him to bed and I think she fell asleep too. Oh well I'll just get myself a libation and watch it myself.

Not much else i can do with a fractured heel and elbow.

Man you kill me. That's hillarious. That's more funny than when I asked the (very quiet, hardly ever says a word) soft spoken guy that works for us: "What are you doing tonight?" and he responded: "Going home, getting drunk and beatin' up the ol' lady"... Coming out of him I just lost it. I think I had cramps for two days laughing at what he said. I think your post passes that .

Sounds like me and my ex!! Puking on the floor boards and accusing me of flirting with every girl in the place. Part of the reason she's my ex!!! Very funny!!

Little late on this as I just got home from a trip building a stick frame/timber hybrid carport/cottage for friends of a friend. Almost got her done but was snowed out on the roof. Spent the last while in a snowstorm getting the tarp on and ourselves off the roof safely. Rewarded with a gourmet meal by the customer, after a hot-tub in the snow and all the beer you can drink. Get to go back and finish it off after the snow melts. Rich.
