Interesting Note

My son is an over-the-road- truck driver. A few days ago he got a call from one of his trucker buddies. His buddy and his buddy's wife (Team) had gotten stopped by the border patrol in El Paso. Their rig was searched. They were told to pull off somewhere off the roadway. They thought, "wtf"? In the cavity below the air spoiler on top 4 or 5 small Mexicans had hidden without their knowledge. They were detained and questioned for four hours! I guess that will add another step to their pretrip inspections. I told my son I would just get some maze and squirt it up there. They had climbed the stack to get in there. Its my understanding it is a very cramped space.

Re: Interesting Note

Route the exhaust up to that area, that'll fix the problem.

Re: Interesting Note

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my ancestors came to this country by that same route.

Re: Interesting Note

I have some really bad recollections of Juarez but that ain't one of them. I can easily see it happening though.

md, on the roof of a tractor? I always figured your ancestors travelling in a Pullman car.

Actually, I have no idea. They probably walked over from Germany.

Re: Interesting Note

Mine swam the river from England to the states. I know this because I was there.

A truck would have been easier.

WOW! Your ancestors had it rough. Mine came on a boat in the early 1900's which pulled into New York where they registered. I guess they werent as smart as the illegal immigrants of today.
