Cole, She was built as close to original as possible often using old tools such as spokeshaves and adzes. Maintainance eventually led to her sale. Canvas sails had to be lowered and dried after every rainfall, decks had to be kept wet during the dry season and the rigging had to be tarred every 6 mos. (that's 5 miles of standing rigging and 7-1/2 miles of running rigging).

I just went to a digital camera a year ago so my pics have to be found, scanned, uploaded, etc. I'll post as I find time.

Are you a salty sailor? I've got a few cuts and bruises, compliments of good ole Lake Michigan. Used to date a guy who has 38 Chicago-Macinac Island races under his belt. He taught me a few things, mostly on a Beneteau. Also, have good friends that just bought a 52' Swan a couple years ago. Not as 'speedy' and limber as a Beneteau but certainly a classic beauty! They bought it in Boston and sailed it all the way back to Chicago the summer before last.

Tell us a bit about your sailing experiences. Where have your travels taken you?
