If You Own A '90s Green Ford Escort And Live In Oregon, Paint It A Different Color!

Ore. Arsonist Targets 1990s Green Ford Escorts
Oregon Arsonist Apparently On The Prowl For Green Ford Escorts From The 1990s

(AP) An arsonist is apparently on the prowl for green Ford Escorts from the 1990s. Three of them have been burned in recent weeks, a series that Medford police Sgt. Mike Budreau described as "pretty bizarre." A 1995 green Ford Escort was destroyed by flames early Sunday morning after someone broke a window and poured flammable liquid into it. A similar fire was set in a 1993 green Ford Escort parked in a driveway on Feb. 22.

Investigators have also uncovered a Feb. 2 case of a 1992 green Ford Escort damaged by a plastic container filled with flammable liquid placed next to a tire that burned without setting the car afire.

Budreau told the Mail Tribune newspaper in Medford, "I think this person really doesn't like Ford Escorts." Link

I'm surprised a Ford from the '90s is still on the road.

Just take it right to scrap yard to prevent any possibility of a fire. We actually had a Pinto when I was a kid back in the 70s (5 of us in one of those things), we got a bigger car when the last to kids came on board.

As a general rule, if you own a '90s Ford Escort, you should hope that it is burned.

A well insured Ford Escort, what's that going to get you $200 bucks instead of $50.

Growing up in Central Michigan we used the old ford escort to play around on the road and crash into snow banks. One time we happened to know a body builder who happened to drive by when we were stuck. He lifted the front end out of the bank and put us back on the road.

Been there and done that. I have had at least 4 of them that i can remember and i can honestly say they are JUNK!!!!! The junks would roast the tires right off of them if you could keep a tranny in it, used to blow the bottoms out of the 5spd's. The struts were crap too, any jumps more than 5' high would blow them apart. If still had one i would invite that fella here just to watch him burn it. Hell i would even paint it for him .
