I Weigh 2 Lbs. Less!

38 staples removed successfully!

Yippee!

Aside from the research study (clinical trial), I am on fewer meds and don't have to see the Doc until December 1st for tests for #4.

He's not too crazy about me working yet; not even part time!

He wants me to 'convalesce' at home for at least two more weeks.

....impossible, I say....

Soon as you can show him your degree in medicine, you two can argue, until then, go home and do what he says. If the company folds up, crashes and burns while you were out sick, just put that on your resume, but its not your problem. Go rest or I'ma send Grumpy over to start spanking!

And while you are listening to your doctor and following every detail of what he says, please remember this.

Have a healthy quick recovery.

Let me see what I can come up with in the way of TRouble ideas. We can call it "Patty's TRouble to-do list"

Maybe some other members can help??

Yeah Slick! Not bad, huh? But, have you ever been told something and had that 'gut feeling' that you aren't quite being told EVERYTHING they know?

Something tells me that the reason there is 'no hurry' is because the location of this one is not good. Originally, they leveled with me and said it was high-risk. Now, they avoid the issue entirely and just celebrate the success of the completed surgery and speak of recovery & recuperation. Hmm...something is suspect, here. Where is Detective Clouseau (sp?) when we need him?

By Doctors?....I always feel that way

However, I think they are avoiding the issue so they can just bask in their glory of the great work they did

Re: I Weigh 2 Lbs. Less!

Slick, I did, in fact, thank him for saving my life...which, for the record, he DID do! And, he can bask all he wants cuz he is one of their finest neurosurgeons on staff, according to the ICU nurses.

Hmmmm....my hunch says there is a lot more than mere doctor ego going on here. I think he wants ME to 'heal' from this episode before he drops the bomb on me for Round 2. Just my gut feeling, Slick. I think he's 'skirting' conversation about the next surgery for the time being.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he felt you had enough "excitement" for right now

Re: I Weigh 2 Lbs. Less!

..... yeah....you might be right, Slick!

And, besides, we have so many impressive aeronautical engineers on this site, it got me wondering how many talented neurosurgeons were demurely hiding out here, in cognito, as well?

It's possible, right?

Hmmmm.....

But WHO???

(...thinking I might get the family discount next time around... )

Re: I Weigh 2 Lbs. Less!

So I was flipping through, saw this thread title, "I weigh 2 lbs. less!" and authored by Patty.

I figured she must have just took a huge dump and wanted to tell us about it.

Eh, I was gonna say it, but I held off. I'm reasonably sure that's why most people clicked on this thread.

We're talking about STAPLES, right?

Yes, Teetor, it's very nice....especially during sleeping hours (which tends to be 80% of my life, right now. ) You can tell when those staples are 'there'. Yick! It's a bit uncomfortable. But, now, it's rather nice and it's a sign of all the good things ahead.

Ohhh.... .....Peladu & md?

Do you REALLY think I would write THAT KIND OF A POST?

The answer is.....................
Talking about staples in my head is embarrassing enough!"blush:

Bad boys!
