I Don't Speak Canadian. Do You?

I just noticed this and it made me laugh. Try pronouncing that word. I can't.

I'm also wondering if "carpentery" is fancier than the carpentry we do here in the states.

If I could edit your profile for you, I would. I'm not busting on you...it's just funny that I never noticed it before and now I can't stop trying to pronounce that word!!!!

It's all in good fun!

They build sets for movies, television and stage shows.

I've been doing it as a hobby since I was 13.

I like the multi-STOREY buildings.

And when an 18 wheeler has a wreck on the Port Man Bridge - they call it a semi accident (Rhymes with Dodge HEMI) So I always talk back at the radio..."what, you have half an accident?"

Hey that's no laughing matter.

I live right by that bridge and usually have to cross it.

Re: I Don't Speak Canadian. Do You?

Doh! ok, its a typo! two of them! LOL I will fix kinda makes me wonder though, I've been here a couple of years, and you just noticed my bad spelling NOW???? you been asleep or somethin??? LOL

I worked in the film industry for ten years (I got a pin! whoohoo!)
started out there as a "scenic carpenter's helper" then I upgraded to a "scenic carpenter". Most of the time it was grind work- building the same thing for weeks on end. I sure do miss the checks though!!

And if you need a bridge? You are in luck! I've got one, they're taking it down shortly!!!! (Port Man bridge) and we're getting a huge new one in its place. and the new one will have a toll!!!! how cool is that??? (yes, that's sarcasim)
