How Are You Bringing In The New Year?

So, how is everyone bringing in the new year?

We aren't doing anything. We are going to pick up some Chinese food and I'm going to spend the night coding the new version of ContractorTalk.com. The to do list for CTv3 is getting shorter and shorter

Hope everyone has fun!

Wow, sounds tough, like it would be an unending project.

We're doing the same thing. I hit the deli, and am making a monster sub sandwich, and going to sit and create my 'welcome back' letter/flyer for my old customer/designer list.

Cheers!

Re: How Are You Bringing In The New Year?

I'll be lucky if I am still awake at 12:00. My motherinlaw was just transferred back out of the hospital she was in to U of P hospital in Phila last night. She wanted my wife to ride in the ambulance with her so I had to drive to hospital 1 before they left, take the wifes car over to Philly since I wasn't too crazy about driving my truck over there and having every tool stolen out of it, to pick my wife up. It wasn't til after midnight they had her all checked into her room, then drive back with my wife to hospital 1 to pick my truck up, then drive home, then have to get up this morning and work. My wife went back over today and they took her mom back into surgery at 5:00 and finished on her about 6:30...so far so good. I hope '06 is beter than '05 has been. Happy New Year in advance to everybody since I will be hittin' the hay early tonight.

Re: How Are You Bringing In The New Year?

What is it with chinese food and new years. We ordered some chinese food and brought it to a bon fire gathering we had with some of our subs. We had a large pile to burn, but we could not get the pile to light for the life of us. Perhaps it was all rain we had last Monday. 5 hours later we throw in the towel. We go inside, talk about work, say our happy all and all, then call it quits. I come home and get the little ones in bed and what do I do check in what's happening online with different tradetalks. When we have time off how can we enjoy ourselves when all we think about is work? We try to enjoy ourselves but as soon as it's over we are right back at it. I'm not complaining, just amazing how things happen. All and all I will be rejoicing from a large project that I closed on this morning. I had a ball tonight even if it didn't turn out as planned. I enjoy what I do, even if I am here on new years eve. I wouldn't give up for the world. 2006 is going to be a great year.

My best to all and a prosperous new year.

Did anyone see the "Dick Clark New Years"?

Man, that guys is in bad shape. I don't know why they put him on the air like that. I couldn't even make out what he was saying.

Hmm, - - sorry to disappoint you then, - - was kinda lookin' forward to it myself, - - apparently lots of others felt the same way, - - but it looks like another case where the minority is the most vocal, - - so I (tried?) to put an end to it.

Anyway, - - Happy New Years, all!!

Sorry, I could help out, I was at a party, drank a few too many Mojitos, but damn they were good!

2005 was such a transitional year for us, but damn! 2006 is going to be such a good year! So much good personal/financial/business stuff is ahead of my wife and I that I just want to walk down the street with a blue jay on my shoulder! LOL

Nathan I thought Dick Clark looked pretty good, he was inspiring to me as an example of a man with a vibrant, alive intellect with a thirst for living, doing his best to not let his shattered physical form stop him for doing what he loves to do and getting on with enjoying his life.
