How About This For Strange But True?

This is the strangest TRUE story I've ever experienced so I thought I'd share.

I dated a gal, some years back, who's mother lived in Troutville VA. One day we're all talking and she tells us of her best friend in grade school and how close they were. She was in her early 60s so she figured there was a good chance her friend had passed. They schooled together in Coral Gables Florida and a bad marriage years later had brought her to Virginia on the lamb.

After some discussions I explained to her that the internet was a hell of a resource and back then, it was just getting started. So she searched out her friend for a few days on the internet and got a hit .........but it couldn't be right ......because it was her neighbor.

I talked into approaching the door but had to drive her up there to get her to do it. After about 15 seconds of conversation at that the door, I could tell from the car, it was her long lost friend, living four doors down, 1000 miles and 50 years later .............Freekin amazing.

That's a true story.

I've heard this somewhere before but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe I'll go down to the pub and have a drink and think about it.
