Hey Teetor

If ya want to see that pool room we talked about, hit the link in my signature, then go to a new pool room.

I should know this weekend if I got it or not. So far the figures landed not to far off the mark.

Re: Hey Teetor

Bob, Sorry for not getting back to you, things kind of went nutzo.
I'm curious as to what holds this whole thing together as in what is taking the tensile load in the center of the structure?
I know that you were concerned with the dead load. What concerns me more is the up load and racking potentials.

Re: Hey Teetor

The sytem itself has a standard post an beam frame out of treated lumber.

The gabels as of 'so far' consist of standard frame.

Every 3ft up the slope, under the poly, (not drawn) is a perlin across. The last 4ft to the peak is conventional framing and roofing.

However the PolyCarb sytem is designed to free stand.

I just uploaded some details at the site.

Re: Hey Teetor

What keeps the walls from bowing out? Just the top beam?

Re: Hey Teetor

Top beam and an 8ft collar tie bolted into the rafters.
