Hey Nat

I was just wondering can this forum support an IM system?

It might be kinda cool if you saw a contact on and you could IM them for a quick talk.

No, there aren't really any chat or IM clients that work with this software. I don't think there are any hacks out there either.

There are private messages, and an option that will popup a box to notify you of new incoming messages.

If both parties are online and browsing, the PM system will operate just like an IM system.
