Wow--great photo--one lucky lady.

A lot of the iron workers save the lives of their follow workers-all in a days work.

I admire the grit of the iron workers. Nice find-BC---------------Mike------

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

I think the husband was a good man for asking his wife to put on the only life preserver. (yeah yeah should have been more than one)

Re: Hero Construction Worker

I'm amazed at people's lack of respect to fast running water. I see all the times examples of people picnicking by rivers. Two years back I was up with my family and witness a 4-5 year old girl climbing the rocks about 3' from the run off river that flows between the base of Blackcomb and the base of Whistler.

I explained to my kids how foolish this is and if the little girl tripped and fell in chances are that she and who every else that jumped in to save here would most likely drown. It mad me so mad that I ran back, and explained how cold this water is and that the creek bed is full of large boulders. The husband looked at me like "get out of my face - how dare you". His wife looked at me in horror as she could she her daughter splashing the water with a 2' stick her older brother about 6' away.

I lost my own father to drowning and have saved my little sister when we where kids. A strong swimmer educated in white water rescue swimming has a good "Chance" of getting out - a little girl in a summer dress has a "Long Shot" of getting out....

Re: Hero Construction Worker

When that happened, our town was talking about it. Jason the man in the harness grew up in our town. The town was pretty proud of him. Especially to know the background from which he grew up in. It was pretty cool to know that he saved a live.
