Yep, as the saying goes, someone can tell us there are 1,234,567,890 stars in the sky and we'll believe 'em. But if we see a sign that says "Wet Paint," we have to touch it and see if it's still wet.
Well, of course the painters here don't do that. They just try to keep all the passersby from doing it.
