Here "it" Is......

The gates of hell have opened up, and all the "rats" are coming out!!!!

rat.JPG

rat 1.JPG

In the second pic, you can see him in the lower left hand corner.

Seems this fella got hauled in with a load of black dirt, then leveled off for around the new house I posted pics of. I was doing my final pass around the house since I finished up with it today and seems this rat was trying to get out from under the fresh dirt. When I saw him, he was sticking half way out of the ground, straight up in the air, nose pointing to the sky. At first, I thought the guy running the skid loader placed it there as a practical joke, because it was right by the front door where everyone walks. So I gave it a little nudge with my foot, and the SOB opened his eyes as wide as he could and started flailing his front legs like crazy. Then he was still again. In shock, I thought I must be seeing things, so I gave him another nudge on the head........ Wide open eyes and mouth and front legs just a kickin'. He started getting farther out of the dirt so I grabbed a stick and jabbed him in the back, well that really pissed him off, and was gettin' close to coming all the way out!!!!! I jabbed the stick as hard as I could in his front chest, and the bastard grabbed my stick with his front legs and clamped on it with his mouth!!!! I kept jabbing and twisting 'till I finally wooped the rodent.

Anyway, that was yesterday. It rained like a bitch last night, so the pic I took this morning of him has him a little buried with mud. Yesterday he was almost completely out of his grave.

That's almost as bad as being stuck in a cramped crawl space or under a mobile home, face to face with a snake. Has happened to me more than once. Sucks more each time.

That's funny! You say that's a rat, huh?

Sort of resembles the Fried Chicken they tried to get me to eat one night at the hospital. Hmmm....

Do you think....?

Nah....

You mean evil men you! If he'd have survived being buried for lord knows how long and ran over with a loader, I'd have set him free, he'd have earned a few more days atleast until the neighborhood cat finished him off.

The piped Purty would have gently lead him, song and dance, down to the river.

From now on Purty we'll all send the rodents we come accross to your place for "reconditioning" before being sent to the "forest glen by the brook"!!! You mean to tell me that you wouldn't have either swatted this thing down, or yelled loudly for someone else to do it? I run accross snakes all the time. I even have a "special KILLING stick" I made years ago for killing copperhead snakes while mushroom hunting. It works equally well with rats. I had them in my old warehouse and killed a few with it!!!

Snakes and spiders do not count. They are not worthy of life.. ever. Kill them all. (and preferably before I see them. )

I knew I'd get you guys stirred up with that original post, but yeah, with the exception of spiders and snakes, I can't step on an ant to intentionally kill it. Spiders and snakes sneak up on you so they must go, but everything else, as long as I am bigger than it is, it can go one way and I'll go another.

Just wondering where you aquired the Canadian army's weapon of choice, "A Stick"!!! Our motto is "If you don't get 'em on the first poke, poke again"... Our army whittles the ends of their sticks to a nice point (maybe you should consider that for future confrontations) ...

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? Man, that's more activity than we get out of some of our top guys in a weeks time. Put that rat on payroll if he's that active! You can figure his hourly rate by multiplying the amount of hours it takes him to get out of the mud divided by the number of pokes he survived.

Ut oh, was that an Osha approved stick? Were you wearing the proper rat poking equipment? What if some of his guts had splattered you in the eye and set up infection. Tsk Tsk... your a contractor, you should know better.

That does sound much like an equal opportunity employer to me. Animal activist all over the world are turning over in their graves right now. Don't you feel ashamed of yourself. His family will sue for compensation I'm sure.

So you left him there for the new homeowners.. right near the front door you even said. Is that the latest trend in "extras". Wow, when you set out to do a job, you really go all the way.

Someone had a thread on here about ever taking a day off.. well above is the repercussions of too much time off. haha Boredom kicked in. Sorry maj, humor in honor of the dead varmit who's life you brutally shortened.

Maj - I was thinking you might need some help....

And I quote "Animals are NOT FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT"

By purchasing only cruelty-free products, you can help save rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, rats, and other animals. Blah blah blah blah blah blah......
