Hearing For The MO FairTax Bill

Anyone in Missouri that supports the flat tax will be pleased to see this. I don't give to sh!ts what your party is - the flat tax crosses all party lines and economic levels of society.


Dear MO FairTaxers,

There will be a hearing for MO HB 814, the MO FairTax Bill, in at the State Capital in Jefferson City, MO on Wednesday, March 4th at 8:00 am. We would like as many FairTax supporters as possible to attend. It is not necessary that you testify only that you stand to show your support. If this is possible for you, please keep in mind the following considerations:

This is a formal legislative hearing subject to strict protocols and decorum. It is not a protest. Experts will be testifying but anyone who supports the bill will be invited to say so at an appropriate time and fill out a form recording their support. Usually, because of the time held, there are not very many people at these hearings. If FairTax supporters packed this hearing to overflowing, it would make substantial news at the Capitol and help our cause when the bill comes to a floor for a vote later in the session.

Parking is difficult at the Capitol. The best solution is to come early and park down the hill on the west side of the building where there are no time restrictions.

If you have time, plan to stop by your legislator's office and leave word personally of your support for MO HB 814. Passing this bill in MO is probably the greatest single thing we can do to encourage US legislators to get on board with the national bill.
