As the trooper was accompanying the Iowa coach, Ferentz, off the field, I saw the trooper telling Ferentz, "We'd better get the hell out of here. These people are liking you like a Laotian".

It was a fantastic defensive game on both teams parts, and Iowa looked terrible on the offensive side...almost like they had grease on their gloves instead of stick'um.

The are the best games when it's evenly stacked but also frustrating too...feels good to root for the team on the winning side though

Iowa, has yet to face a Defense as good as Ohio state's. The only thing that is the problem is Ohio state's offense. There was improvement against Minnesota, but we'll have to see. We do have a few new Rb's that have emerged as of last weekend, so that may help too. Iowa reminds me of the 2002 OSU team, they found ways to win that year too.

Ohio State plays New Mexico State this weekend, that will give them another warm up to get the offense situated, then they get into the meat of their schedule. Psu first, then Iowa, then meechigan. I think OSU's defense is going to give Iowa fits, and if we keep running these new wrinkles on offense, I think OSU comes out on top.

I agree whole heartedly, IA has a very tough schedule yet to come and if they can get through the next 3 or 4 games they'll be on easier ground so to speak...but their toughest challengers are yet to come...and if they keep goofing up like last weekend, i feel they're going to get themselves into a spot they wont be able to dig out of.

After looking at Iowa's remaining schedule, I think the toughest game they have left is Ohio State. I mean there is always the upset factor in play, when playing an undefeated team, but I don't see Indiana, Northwestern beating Iowa before they get to the Buckeyes.

That means Iowa should still be undefeated come November 14, when they play the Buckeyes. I want it that way too, it would mean a lot more in the rankings if the Buckeyes can beat an undefeated Iowa team, instead of a Iowa team that has lost at least one.

As I have stated two running backs have emerged. Jordan Hall, and Jermil Martin. Martin reminds me of Chris Wells from last year. He makes his own holes to go through. We also have an unknown, Jaamal Berry. He's red-shirted right now and has had a few ankle issues, so I'm assuming we probably won't see what he has until next season. He did dominate the Osu spring scrimmage game though, where I believe his ankle issues began.

I also don't think Iowa has faced a mobile QB like Pryor either, I may be wrong though. Don't let the tv fool you if you've ever watched him, he's quicker than he appears. I learned that when I was at the OSU/Toledo game. I also believe he has over 1,000 career rushing yards. Last week when they put a back in motion from one side to the other before some options, ran more read option runs, Pryor ran a couple designed weak side runs out of the pistol, and Ohio State actually ran some play action from under-center run sets. Pryor seemed more comfortable in those types of situations. He does seem to be inconsistent from game to game though.

Our defense speaks for it's self. They are dominate. Problems arise though when they are on the field to long, because the offense can't sustain a drive. I mean they pretty much won the Wisconsin game on their own.

I guess we'll just have to wait till November 14th to see what happens. First we have to get past a decent Penn State team.
