Happy Mothers Day
Well it's about that time again...
Just want to wish all the moms out there a great day to do whatever you want to do! My wife will be getting the kid made breakfast in bed followed up by gifts and.....I think a day at the park, I don't really know yet because she hasn't told me  As for me, I personally take some time to really think about all that my wife does for our kids and this family. It's no mystery that a mothers job is by far harder than anything we do during the day. I'm just thankful I have her not only for me, but for my kids. Mothers......here's to ya

I'll take the thread drift and re-direct...
 My oldest came home sick on Thursday. College semester just finished and she's supposed to leave for a seven-month research stint in Argentina in a week. But I could tell it's mono, so Friday I took her to the doctor and it's... mono. So I'm playing nurse. She's sleeping a lot has to be kept fed and hydrated. The doc gave her some prescriptions that she's responding to, slowly. She's going to call the airline and get her ticket pushed back a few weeks and just ride this out, with Mom's help. And that's what being a mom (or a dad) is all about. They come back when they need you. And I'm happy to have her here. We were going to go to the beach today but that's been cancelled. I don't feel bad about that, I can go to the beach another weekend. Lorne is at the store now, getting me maple bacon and southwestern style potatoes that he'll fry up for me. Then he'll take the twins out to do some shopping. Then we'll sit in our beach chairs in our screen room, looking out at the beautiful yard Lorne has built. It will be a nice day.

It's traditional for us to take the family out to a big breakfast. Mothers Day, Fathers Day. That way no one needs to clean up after.

This is the second Mother's Day I cannot call my mom or take her out for this special day. To all those that can, never miss a chance to tell your Mom how much she really means to you...there will come a day you cannot. I miss my Mom a lot.

Mothers day turned out good here, at least thats what my Wife and my Mom said.
I woke up the Wife with a nice back rub, then made her an Omelet for breakfast. The kids spent the previous night at my Moms house so it was just the two of us. My Mom showed up around 1 pm with the kids and I barbecued for everyone. Ribs and Shrimp kabobs. It even turned out to be a beautiful sunny day and everyone enjoyed it! Hope all you Moms on the forum had a great day!
