Happy B'Day From A Great Kid!

My son took us out to dinner at a popular waterfront restaurant and then presented me with a (drum roll here) 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop in near perfect condtion! I'd forgotten what they sounded like and goofed around until my fingers wouldn't take anymore. Amazing! He even managed to find one of the lightweight ones! Too much fun!

Pro, I took the pics. They're onboard, can't seem to upload the individuals to Photobucket. Browse wants the whole file, I'll have Alzheimers(?) by the time that uploads.

It's a beautiful thing! A few very small dents and some very light "buckle marks" on the back and the top strap button is missing. Son says that he has a vintage replacement, just couldn't find it in time for the presentation. Other than that, it's pristine. Way too cool!

I plugged it into my old Peavy and got a hum. called son. It's actually a '54 with P-90 pickups. I'm working hard on getting my fingers back, the ends have softened over the years.
