I used to feel that way every year around tax time. I'm running along fine and then I slow down to take stock of what I've done this past year and BAM. I'm looping out of control and about to hit the ground.

in April-May, running full speed
in fall, still going, but a little slower
in January, biff!! I'm on my back with my feet wriggling in the air
